I don’t know why it took me so long to realize it (maybe because blue shirts are so underrepresented in voyager???) but it finally hit me that, as a science officer, at some point a young Katheryn Janeway was running around a star ship as a blue shirt geeking out over sciencey things and I need more of that in my life
