Love is the way he helps her up when she falls down in the midst of battle.
Love is the way she smiles at him when he wakes in sickbay from another close call.
Love is the way she provides cream and sugar with the coffee set, though she hates using it at all.
Love is the closeness of the attention he pays her, when he hand-makes a bathtub from an off-hand remark.
Love is the way he conveys silent strength through their tightly-gripped hands as she prepares to depart.
Love is the truth in their “platonic, working dinners”. Love is what makes his heart break with her death.
Love is what makes her stand back and let go, then rewrite that past to erase her regrets.omg this is beautifully written.
