Janeway: *crying* Why would this crew be loyal to me? Why would they follow me after I’ve abandoned them here in the Delta Quadrant?
Chakotay: Because we are all competing to date you. It’s become a serious sport.
Janeway: Oh haha. Very funny.
Chakotay: *whips out a line graph and reading glasses* This week Tom is in the lead with a 2.7% point increase due a loving nod by you on last shift. I can’t lie that witty comment was a risky play but he executed beautifully. But I am happy to brag that I, as you can see here, am ahead in the overall category. The chest touches are whats really driving me ahead.
Janeway: …..
Chakotay: JaneCourt is a very point driven sport. It’s intense.
Jeez, what did you guys do?!?! I’m now imagining how I’d go about writing the original concept with the above tags included. Bloody hell, it’s not pretty! I should probably go tell my muse what’s what. However if @thejanewaydirectives would like me to write this, I’d be happy to. Also if any of you have any ideas in general, come chat to me and I’ll happily fangirl over them with you.
WTF, y’all….esp you, @emmikamikatze! what are those tags?? 😦
@leisylaura You need to see it with ALL the emotional pain!
She’s touching her head because he died from head trauma.
The pain shoots through her skull, drilling a hole through her forehead and ripping her open from the inside. It brings her to her knees and makes her stumble with a gasp.
She doesn’t understand the sudden void in her, the cold and soul-crushing pain. But she knows. With a frightening clarity she has never before felt, she knows that he has left her behind.
She doesn’t understand but she has only one goal – to prove herself wrong.
She doesn’t understand until she reads the report that the Doctor and Tuvok try to keep from her. She soaks up every detail, finds and touches the metal spike the removed from his skull – the memory of the shooting pain pulsing against the inside of her own skull again. She sits with him traces the invisible mark on his forehead – his skin smooth but cold against her fingertips.
She doesn’t understand, but she can’t say that she is surprised.
Dang. I love it.
Now imagine this in reverse when Janeway dies in the books
