I like that “good morning, princess” / “morning baby” kinda relationship. The no games, great communication, lots of sex, lots of kissing, lots of cuddling, lots of flirting, lots of being goofy kind of relationship. The kind that makes you want to run 100 miles, read books, clean up your bad habits kind of love.
This is Kathryn Janeway. I’ve never liked saying good bye, so I’ll make this brief, but I want you all to know that serving as your captain has been the most extraordinary experience of my life. No captain could ask more than what this crew has given. Bravery, compassion and strength of character. But I think what I’ll miss most is the fun. The times we joked together, the games on the holodeck. I’ll remember the laughter more than anything. Although Commander Chakotay and I won’t be with you for the rest of your journey, we know that you’ll be the same steadfast crew for Mister Tuvok as you have been for us. We wish you a safe and a speedy journey home. Our thoughts will be with you. Janeway out.
One of the things that always gets me about this scene is that the whole crew stops everything and listens to her. They probably hang onto every word and there’s such a solemn note in the air when you look at everyone’s face.
Every 7 years I feel a sudden urge to watch a lot of Star Trek and since my dormant Star Trek-feelings have awakened this year, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to follow more Star Trek tumblrs.
Reblog/like this if you post Star Trek (TOS, AOS, TNG, VOY, etc.) sometimes or all the time, so that I can follow you. That is if you want a geeky 20 year old woman to follow you. It would help me out a lot because I honestly need more of Shatner’s ripped shirts, Nimoy’s flawless makeup and Kelley’s cute face on my dash. Seriously though, DeForest Kelley was SO CUTE. SO. CUTE. God damn him and his little booty shake…
